Simplicity Symmetry Vacuum Cleaner Review

Review of Simplicity Symmetry

This is another bagged, upright vacuum built by the Simplicity Company. Simplicity’s vacuums feature extended bumper to bumper warranties, HEPA bags, and metal construction where it most matters.

In the Symmetry series, there are a few different models to choose from. As the features increase, so does the price.

The warranty starts at 3 full years’ parts and labor for the classic series and a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty for the Deluxe, the Standard, and the Premium models.

Simplicity Symmetry Models and Features:

  • Classic
  • Deluxe
  • Standard
  • Premium

Priced from $249, the Classic is a vacuum without a lot of bells or whistles. This is a vacuum that is designed to vacuum floors. The bottom plate is manufactured from plastic. The brushroll has 2 rows of replaceable brushstrips, and is made of steel.

The Classic comes with a foam filter, and uses HEPA bags. The on/off switch is located on the body of the vacuum. The vacuum is powered by a 10 amp motor, and has a 24 foot long power cord. The handle of the vacuum is made from ABS plastic.

It comes with a 4 year manufacturer’s warranty, and the handle is made from aluminum. It has an upgraded filter; it uses an electrostatic filter, and a HEPA disposable bag. It is powered by a 12 amp motor.

The power cord is a little longer on this model; the cord is 30 feet in length. The Standard comes equipped with on board tools, and the on/off switch has been moved to the handle.

The Premium without tools has a MSRP of $629.95. The most distinctive upgrade with this model is the filtration system. HEPA and charcoal filters have been added. The Premium also has a surface selector on the nozzle, making it safe for different floor surfaces.

The Premium with onboard tools is priced at $699.95. Onboard tools include the stretch hose, crevice tool, upholstery tool, and a dusting brush with natural bristles.

Simplicity Symmetry Recommendations:

Simplicity is a vacuum name that is well respcted and has a loyal following. The manufacturer obviously feels it is making a superior product based on the long warranties offered. This is a very good indication of quality and reliability.

Parts for the Simplicity are available only through independent vacuum dealers. The nice thing about the brushroll is it has replaceable strips; this feature saves you money because you don’t have to replace more expensive parts.
