Review of Eureka Pet Lover Vacuum

There are a variety of models in the family of Eureka Pet Lover Vacuum series. Eureka offers both upright vacuums and canister vacuums.; bagged and bagless. The Pet Lover vacuums range in price from $100 – $199.

For the purpose of this review we are concentrating on the Eureka 940A canister vacuum. The estimated price for this vacuum is around $140.

If you have pets and you’re tired of the pet hair that clings to just about every surface, this canister vacuum was designed with you in mind. It’s powerful motor will keep your house clean from top to bottom, cleaning carpets and hard floor surfaces easily.

The included Power Paw tool removes dirt, and pet hair from carpets and upholstery. The plastic teeth on the “paw” loosens dirt and pet hair while the rubber strip grabs it, and then the bristles lift and vacuum it all away.

This canister has rubber wheels so it won’t scratch your floors while moving it around with you; it has a button to automatically rewind the 20’ power cord and a bin full indicator light so you don’t have to continually check and see if the dirt cup is full.

HEPA Filtration/ Cyclonic Technology:

With the combination of the cyclonic filter and the HEPA exhaust filter, these two filters provide cleaner and more breathable indoor air, capturing 99.97 percent of pet dander, dust mites, and allergens.

Adjustable Motor Speed:

On the main body of the canister is where the adjustable motor speed dial is located. If you have fine or delicate items (such as drapes) you can lower the motor speed and help protect them from damage with too much suction.

Attachments:

This carpet tool is turbo driven cleaning both carpets and rugs. The 12” floor brush cleans a variety of hard surfaces in your home: linoleum, hardwood, and tile flooring. The crevice/dusting tool will get you into tight spots, dust bookshelves, tabletops, and more while the telescoping wand gives you added reach.

Eureka 940A Recommendations:

Apparently this vacuum was Eureka’s attempt at upgrading and making a higher quality bagless canister vacuum than the Mighty Mite. The 940A Pet Lover model does have some cool features, but it is more expensive and heavier.

Some people found it to be a nice canister that picked up pet hair without a problem, although it was a bit heavy, it did a good job cleaning all areas of the home.
