The canister easily detaches for cleaning stairs and hard to reach areas where a vacuum is just too big for the area you need to reach. The lift-off function allows for the motor, hose, and tank to come off with a push of a button for easy use and emptying.

Most pet owners say it picks up pet hair without problems but some pet owner did make the comments they were going to look into a Bissell vacuum that is more specifically designed for picking up pet hair.

Other reviewers made comments that the hoses do not clog as some other vacuum cleaners they have owned have done.
